The Flavor Designers Club (FDC), a proprietary Symrise panel, is an online community of 800 consumers from all over the US who share a common passion: innovation in food, beverages and taste.

The Symrise Flavor Designers Club gave Symrise access to “foodies” who are one step ahead of the average consumer on flavor trends. These foodies were carefully screened from more than 5,000 consumers for their creative skills and their ability to articulate and interact in groups. Today, the Flavor Designers reflect a broad range of age groups as well as regional, social and cultural influences; the 800 foodies are divided equally into men and women and represent a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
Anticipating the next flavor trend could prove valuable as differentiation plays a more important role in a highly competitive environment. Engaging the Flavor Designers Club in selected customer projects helps Symrise customers to identify specific flavor directions that resonate with their brand positioning and consumers’ expectations.
