ABOUT THE REPORT

The 2010 Symrise Corporate Social Responsibility Report is entitled “Perspectives” and covers the worldwide activities of the Symrise company for 2010, up to December 31.

The Symrise Sustainability Board determines which topics are relevant to our stakeholders and should be part of our reporting. We have included all of the subjects identified by the Board. Data are acquired from each department, after which the global Corporate Compliance organization compiles the data as part of systematic, strategic content management. Depending on the department in question, data are acquired using balanced scorecards, qualitative reporting formats and company reporting systems. The data are supplemented and then reviewed in annual internal sustainability audits, a process that allows us to review sustainability practices at the company’s regional headquarters as well. Data included in the report apply to wholly owned Symrise subsidiaries and Group companies. Environmental data apply only to production sites. Unless otherwise indicated, all other data apply to all Symrise companies. Symrise will continue to publish annual sustainability reports in the future as well.
