The new Symrise flavor portfolio BrewTopia® is opening new doors for the brewing industry: BrewTopia® makes it possible to create several entirely different types of beer (such as lager, stout or pilsner) using only one single brew and newly developed flavorings, all without any loss of flavor.
Applications for BrewTopia® include non-alcoholic beers; malted products, which can have a fuller and more authentic beer flavor thanks to BrewTopia®; craft beers, where the Symrise portfolio can create a distinctive brand fingerprint; and, last but not least, beer blends.
BrewTopia® flavorings are part of a modular system which allows brewers to create an unbelievable range of nuances in beers such as pilsners, ales and stouts. Special boosters help compensate for underdeveloped aspects like fruitiness, malt and hops. Cooling flavors and other components can round off the profile of a beer. Each solution Symrise generates for a client is custom-tailored thanks to the modular system.
In creating BrewTopia®, Symrise has succeeded in identifying and isolating brand-new flavor molecules that can now be put to good use. As far as labeling issues are concerned, the range of flavorings available covers everything from nature-identical and natural flavorings to FTNS (From the Named Source) products which are obtained directly from the brewing process.
