CEO Dr. Gerold Linzbach announces that he will not extend his service agreement

Dr Gerold Linzbach, CEO of the fragrance and flavorings manufacturer Symrise AG, has informed the Supervisory Board today that, for personal reasons, he does not intend to extend his service agreement, which expires on October 22nd 2009. Dr Linzbach will leave the company at the end of his service agreement. The remaining term of his service agreement ensures that the Supervisory Board has sufficient time to find a successor.

The Supervisory Board has reluctantly accepted the decision of Dr Linzbach.
