EXECUTIVE BOARD
Symrise is a German stock corporation with a dual management structure consisting of an Executive and a Supervisory Board.
The Executive Board is responsible for managing the Company with the aim of increasing the Company’s value.
As of December 31, 2009, the Executive Board had four members: Hans Holger Gliewe (Head of Flavor & Nutrition), Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Bertram (CEO), Bernd Hirsch (CFO) and Achim Daub (Head of Scent & Care).
The Supervisory Board comprises 12 members. It oversees and advises the Executive Board in the management of the company. It regularly discusses business development, planning, strategy, and risks with the Executive Board. In compliance with the German Codetermination Act (MitbestG), Symrise AG’s Supervisory Board has an equal number of shareholder and employee representatives. To heighten the efficiency of its work, the Supervisory Board formed four committees.
