The division Scent & Care has established a great number of specific competences in the areas of research, development, creation, production and commercialization of products which belong to the world of fragrance, beauty and care.
At the core of all activities lies the R&D strategy, which is based on five technology platforms: New Molecules, Bioactives, Delivery Systems, Malodor Management and Sensory Science.
Scent & Care also belongs to an open innovation network which includes various partners from academia as well as from biotech companies.
To best serve the needs of global consumers through the customer’s brands and products, Scent & Care builds on a close collaboration between various departments within the division: the Consumer and Market Insights group, Marketing, R&D and Creation. The powerful combination of skills and competences not only allows the division to develop innovative solutions for its customers. It also enables it to focus research capabilities on consumer and customer relevant technologies, which are supported by a strong sense of sustainable development and cost consciousness.
The Scent & Care customer base comprises both multinational companies and key regional and/or local players. Independent sales forces manage the business on a regional and local level; global teams support multinational customers.
To best serve this customer base, Scent & Care has manufacturing locations in all major regions; they are supported by a global and integrated supply chain to best manage global synergies in procurement, working capital and logistics.
