The success of Symrise depends heavily on the ability of corporate processes to address the needs of those who have a clear stake in the company in the best possible way. Our most important stakeholders include customers, employees, shareholders, lenders, neighbors, politicians, non-governmental organizations and business partners.
Symrise makes use of a large number of different formats and channels to communicate with its stakeholder groups – within and beyond the company. Intensive use is made of the various opportunities for engaging in dialogue. In the course of these activities, we received valuable feedback, which is incorporated into our future work.
The key instrument here is a materiality analysis which is used to analyze the strategic relevance of issues for Symrise and its stakeholders. We have identified the actual or potential influence of our activities on different stakeholder groups and what influence these groups have on Symrise. We consider these findings in our strategy.
