— Symrise presents a naturally derived multifunctional ingredient for cosmetics at in-cosmetics in Paris

Made from sustainably sourced raw materials, it naturally enhances the skin caring effect of cosmetic products while improving their shelf life: That’s what SymLite® G8 does. Symrise will present the multifunctional, plant-based ingredient made from renewable raw materials at In-Cosmetics Global from April 2 to April 4, 2019, in Paris at its booth E110. The product results from a cooperation with Oleon, a leading producer of oleo chemicals in Belgium.

One natural raw material, three benefits

SymLite® G8 (Glyceryl Caprylate) naturally supports the product protection system, strengthens the skin barrier and, as a co-emulsifier, helps to stabilize oil-in-water emulsions. Thanks to its sustainable production, SymLite® G8 is certified according to the strict guidelines of the international COSMetic Organic and Natural Standard (COSMOS). It is suitable for use in all kinds of cosmetic products. SymLite® G8 makes it easier for manufacturers of natural cosmetics to improve the shelf life of their products. It also offers producers of conventional cosmetics the opportunity to increase the proportion of sustainable ingredients in their products.
