Hydrolite^® 5 green

25 years after the launch of Hydrolite^® 5, Symrise has successfully released a natural-derived version.

The multifunctional ingredient Hydrolite^® 5 green is manufactured from renewable raw materials from sugar cane and has the same properties as the original pentylene glycol, Hydrolite^® 5. It hydrates the skin and boosts the efficacy of active ingredients used in cosmetic formulations. In addition, Hydrolite^® 5 green improves both, the look and consistency as well as the protection of the product. Manufacturers of cosmetic products can use this ingredient in a wide range of cosmetics.

Hydrolite^® 5 green perfectly fits into the sustainability strategy of Symrise. Within the context of this strategy, the company emphasizes the importance of comprehensive transparency that benefits customers and end consumers.

SymReboot™ L19

SymReboot™ L19 opens up new horizons for cosmetics manufacturers of skin care products with probiotic-based ingredients. Symrise researchers have succeeded in maintaining the bacterial structure throughout the manufacturing process and thus preserving important benefits for the skin.

SymReboot™ L19 takes full effect also in creams and lotions that contain ingredients to protect the product. The skin cells recognize the cell-wall or metabolites of the mildly heat-treated microorganisms, thus activating the skin’s natural defense mechanisms and thereby soothing the skin and strengthening the skin barrier. This makes SymReboot™ L19 the booster of skin’s instinctive defenses.

The benefits of SymReboot™ L19 have been tested and substantiated in vivo, and an extensive series of scientifically based in vitro tests was performed.
