— Shareholders should be able to exercise their rights without delay
— Proposed dividend unchanged at 95 € cents per share

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Symrise is making use of a new legal regula-tion and holding a pure online Annual General Meeting without the physical presence of shareholders. The virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 17 June 2020 starting at 11:00 am CET.

"The legislator has made it possible for general meetings to be held as virtual events under certain circumstances. This takes into account the health protection of shareholders, guests, employees and supporting service providers," said CEO Dr Heinz-Jürgen Bertram. "The timely holding of the Annual General Meeting is very important to us, which is why we have decided to hold a virtual Annual General Meeting for the first time in this extraordinary situation."

Symrise announced the postponement of its AGM, which was originally scheduled for6 May 2020, already on 19 March 2020. The continuing uncertainties with regard to the coro-navirus pandemic may mean that shareholders will have to wait months before exercising their rights to submit questions and vote. It is very important to Symrise to pay out the proposed dividend of 95 € cents per share with the approval of the AGM. The Company is proposing an increase in the dividend for the 11th consecutive year. Symrise wants its stock to remain the dependable investment its shareholders have come to expect.

The invitation to the online AGM was issued today within the notice period required under the new legal regulation. The entire event will be streamed for registered shareholders on a website created for that purpose. Shareholders who register in time for the AGM will be able to cast their votes electronically or by proxy.
