The Supervisory Board of Symrise AG has extended the contract of Executive Board member Achim Daub ahead of schedule until the end of 2021. Achim Daub has been part of the Executive Board since 2006 and since then been in charge of the Scent & Care segment. With the early renewal of his contract, Symrise is ensuring continuity at the executive board level.

Dr. Thomas Rabe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: "Achim Daub has successfully expanded the global fragrance activities of Symrise AG in recent years and demonstrated foresight in diversifying the portfolio. We are therefore very pleased to reaffirm his role as a member of the Executive Board and look forward to continuing working with him in the future. By doing so we ensure the continuous and dynamic development of our business in the interests of our customers, employees and shareholders."

Achim Daub (born in 1962) joined the company in 2004. He has held various management positions in the Scent & Care segment in Germany, France and the USA. Since 2006 he has been in charge of the segment worldwide. In recent years, he has successfully built the Company's global presence in fragrances and pushed its expansion into high-growth business areas such as cosmetic ingredients. In addition, he has energetically pursued strategic co-operations and acquisitions. One of the most recent ones has been US-based Pinova Holdings, Inc., with which Symrise is further expanding its access to renewable natural ingredients for perfume compositions.
