— Industry visitors can experience new products first hand at the exhibition booth

— Seminars and talks provide more detailed information

This year, Symrise is taking its current beauty concept to Amsterdam to the leading cosmetics industry trade fair in-cosmetics. At stand B 70, in the in-cosmetics Formulation Lab® and in a technical seminar, the Holzminden-based global producer of ingredients for cosmetics is presenting new products as well as products that have proven themselves over time. These are combined in the company’s brand-new concept Wise Beauty 3.0. The international trade fair for cosmetic ingredients is taking place in Amsterdam from April 17 to 19, 2018.

Symrise is presenting five environmentally-conscious products at in-cosmetics in Amsterdam. One example is the sustainable active ingredient SymControl™ Care. The new natural active ingredient is extracted from green algae from the Mediterranean by means of blue biotechnology. It regulates the skin’s sebum production, strengthens the skin barrier and is especially appropriate for skin types that are oily and sensitive at the same time. With SymGuard® CD, an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional preservatives, such as Triclosan and Triclocarban, Symrise is presenting another innovation meeting today’s consumer demands. Additional new products are SymMollient® PDCC, a silky emollient for modern formulation concepts, SymOleo® Vita7, an elixir that protects against hair damage, and organic hemp oil. A novel digital tool has been developed for the product promotion and animation on our booth B70.


Hydrolite® 5 Celebrates Its 25-Year Anniversary

The Sensory Bar at the exhibition stand offers the ideal opportunity to test new formulations based on the Wise Beauty 3.0 approach as well as formulations with the multifunctional ingredient Hydrolite® 5. Twenty-five years ago, Symrise revolutionized personal care with the launch of Hydrolite® 5, a unique moisturizer, efficacy booster and solubilizer. To celebrate this anniversary, at in-cosmetics Symrise will present three original formulations that emerged as winners from an internal competition using this evergreen ingredient.


Overview of Additional Trade Show Events Where Symrise is Contributing

In the Sustainability Corner, Symrise is providing information about its commitment to sustainability in the Brazilian Amazon. In that region, the Holzminden-based company is working with the Brazilian cosmetics manufacturer Natura and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) to support local farmers in the production of sustainable raw materials, thus also contributing to the protection of the rainforest.

On April 17 at 4:30 p.m. in the Formulation Lab, application technologist Nadine Krug and a Symrise team will meet with participants to work on a formulation. The theme is “Oil or Emulsion – Your Choice!”

On April 18 at 10:40 a.m. in the Technical Seminar, Senior Global Product Manager Yohanna Sander will give a presentation on the topic of “Modern solutions for preserving difficult products, such as paper masks, wet wipes and formulations with a high SPF.”
