Symrise, its affiliates and subsidiaries ("Symrise") use an internal recruiting function to fill open roles that it has posted to the general public. In certain cases, Symrise may wish to add to its internal resources and capabilities by engaging with temporary staffing agencies, professional recruiters and executive search firms ("Agencies"). Agencies are hereby specifically directed to refrain from contacting Symrise employees directly in an attempt to present candidates.

In compliance with this directive and to protect the interests of all parties, Symrise will only accept unsolicited resumes directly from a candidate. Any unsolicited resumes or other candidate data sent to Symrise regardless of the means of transmission (email, fax, etc.), including unsolicited resumes sent to Symrise's applicant tracking system, will be considered Symrise property. Symrise will not pay a fee for any placement resulting from the receipt of an unsolicited resume. Symrise will consider any candidate for whom an Agency has submitted an unsolicited resume to have been referred by the Agency free of any charges or fees.

Agencies must obtain advance written approval from a Symrise recruiter to submit resumes, and then only in conjunction with a valid fully-executed agreement for service and in response to a specific job opening. Symrise will not pay a fee to any Agency without such agreement in place.

Agency agreements will only be valid if in writing and signed by an employee of Symrise Human Resources. No other Symrise employee or officer (including a hiring manager) is authorized to bind Symrise to any agreement regarding the placement of candidates by Agencies. Symrise hereby specifically rejects, and denies any liability under, any agreement purporting to be accepted based on negative consent, negotiation with a candidate, performance, or any means other than the signature of an authorized representative of Symrise Human Resources.
